Virtuoso Guitar Polish and Cleaner available online

I'm very happy to announce that Virtuoso Premium Polish and Virtuoso Premium Cleaner are now available from our website:

www.TheGuitarRepairWorkshop.com

You can chose either of the Virtuoso Premium products there or buy one of each and save some money!

I've noticed that just about every single Gibson that comes into the workshop gets a polish with this stuff, sometimes just the back of the neck - and the reaction from customers is always confusion..."How did you clean the neck - it feels amazing!"

Well....

Humidity and Temperature controlled workshop

The workshop is now humidity and temperature controlled.

Humidity isn't often a major problem in the UK as its fairly stable (unlike parts of the US where it can be a real issue) but its something worth having as I have more 'scratch build' wood in storage nowadays.

The extra heating is appreciated at the moment too!

Here's a beautiful SG, great to play - typical big warm tone of an SG.

It came into the workshop recently for a re-spray, but it needed a good bit more than that! It's had an interesting history, owned by Jonny Marr originally, then by Haven in the nineties, and found its way to its current owner through friends. It was painted white with Dulux gloss (ouch) on top of a nasty layer of silver on top of the original cherry. There was a huge break across the control cavity that had been filled with epoxy many moons ago and a headstock break t' boot!

Its looking sweet now though, and its ready for the next adventure! Ka-Pow!

Ye-ouch!

Here's another headstock to repair, a beautiful old Ric 4001 thats played a million gigs and is still refusing to die!

Adding extra inlay dots

I've just put some Mother of Pearl position marker dots all the way up the neck of this Godin - makes it easier to find your way!

Virtuoso Guitar Polish is here!

Just in, the best polish I've ever used on a nitro finish guitar! Great for Gibson's that have gone a bit sticky and cloudy. I came across this stuff a little while ago and have been using ever since, there's nothing out there that I've ever used that comes close to this stuff, its amazing!

I have the cleaner and the polish, the cleaner is great for taking the grubby goo left behind buy guitar stands that seem to react to the Gibson nitro cellulose, then polish up and forget it ever happened! This is the closest thing to a miracle cure I've found for all these problems, well worth the investment.

Look here for customer comments (from the manufacturers website), and here for a review from Muscians Hotline.

Bottles are £12.99 each, or one of each for £25. If you cant drop into the shop to get yourself some, p&p is £2.50 for the first bottle, £4 for two.

Strat Trem arm snapped? Remove the snapped piece?

Lots of people with Strats etc have had the surprising experience of snapping the trem bar off, leaving the threaded end inside the tremolo...wondering how you get it out!?

This one came out with a bit of good old-fashioned persuasion...very satisfying!

If this happens to you, drop the guitar into us and we'll do our level best to do the same for you. We can't promise it'll always work but its worth a try!
